Overall Opinion: This was cute and funny but sadly is not going on my favorites shelf. I laughed out loud more than a few times and I loved Bohemian. I struggled with the h'southward mom as the villain as information technology felt inconsistent and fifty-fifty odd at times. I also struggled with the h when she was putting on a hot and common cold front that I felt made her almost not good enough for the awesome H! The ending was just a ready for the next book and non actually an ending. So! This was a fun, light read for anyone

I struggled with the h's mom equally the villain as it felt inconsistent and fifty-fifty odd at times. I also struggled with the h when she was putting on a hot and cold forepart that I felt made her most not good enough for the awesome H! The ending was but a set upwardly for the adjacent book and not really an catastrophe. So! This was a fun, low-cal read for anyone that wants a few laughs and an awesome H, merely not for those looking for anything more than that.
Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Salem and Maverick'due south story. Salem is out for a hookup later on moving yet over again to follow her mom and trivial brother and finds Maverick for a hot night. Maverick is not used to women leaving him afterwards his "warmup" and can't stop thinking about her, and so when he finds out she is actually his new stepsister he is shocked simply however intrigued. They showtime a friendship that crosses the line a few times and deeper feelings offset to develop. There is some family drama, some funny moments, and some sexy times…and they get a HFN catastrophe.

Some books are just like shooting fish in a barrel to fall into and have the journey the author envisioned, and this is 1 of those books. It flows perfectly. It'southward honest and logical.
Each character is a petty damaged. They have real hang ups that humanize them. They each take strengths and weaknesses. All the same, the inner dialogue NEVER feels similar a sob story. It's the perfect recipe to know the characters without feeling smothered by the ID.

I spent most of the volume with a smile on my face up. Some amazing lines and scenes had me snorting and center rolling at the humour. A couple of their "moments" became hardcore swoon moments for me, too. My optics even got a niggling watery several times.
Loved the kid. Loved the cat. I ate the whole pie:)
It'south a sexy volume for tension and allure. The actual sex scenes are befitting for the book. It's not erotica, but it's also non short formula of insert P in V. I phone call it sweet heat.
This volume is perfect aside from one small thing. I would have actually loved to know more almost how Salem became Salem. Mainly, with such a prim mom controlling appearances… how did Salem become a mechanic? It'due south not something that hindered her grapheme development, merely information technology felt similar a big pigsty.
My only other complaint is that the book's cover art doesn't rep the volume well. Where are the color-streaks in her hair? Where are his chest and arm tattoos? The random pinkish A'southward fabricated me curious if I missed some insider joke. And, if I wouldn't take already been a fan of this author, I don't think the comprehend would've caught my attention. Just some feedback.

In the showtime, and I'grand going fashion dorsum to The Sterling Boys and Loving War, Bohemian was the ane I couldn't wait for! He was sexy, mannerly, and completely irresistible in the can't be tamed sense (no pun intended)! But equally we moved onto Breaking Even and Triple Dare...then into Identical Disaster and Perfectly Toxic, Bohemian became the goofy brother I wasn't looking for. As we neared the release of his volume I almost came to dread it. So Make Me arrived and at the end was the first of Maverick's journey. I wasn't as excited anymore.
I have an obsession with CM Owen's novels. I've read everything published that I can become my hands on! And I beloved them all in their own special way.
I love Taming a Maverick in its ain manner.
There were moments I laughed so hard I cried. But while I felt for them at times, I didn't find myself emotionally connecting to Maverick and Salem. My heart didn't race in anticipation for them the mode it did when Jax didn't know Bo wasn't her sister. I didn't weep like I did when Corbin broke Carmine's heart for the final fourth dimension. I didn't melt like I did when Kode realized he savage for Tria.
I know I shouldn't compare Taming a Maverick to its predecessors, but I don't know how not to. It'south very well written, which is no surprise, and it'south a slap-up story. I love the step sister angle and Salem's picayune blood brother is i of the best supporting characters ever! I but wanted to feel their connection and their dearest more than than I did.

The very second Taming a Bohemian hit my kindle, I literally dropped everything and began reading, happily getting lost in the world of Sterling Shores! This book lived upward to every unmarried one of my expectations and more! Maverick was his typical hilarious, sexy, and charming cocky and his willingness to put aside his manwhore means and almost immediately embrace giving commitment and monogamy a try for Salem was not what I expected from him, only a pleasant surprise. As for Salem, well, I'll acknowledge that at beginning, I honestly wasn't sure how I felt about her or if I even liked her. I kind of wanted Maverick's girl to exist a total opposite of who he was, someone shy and maybe even timid, only as I ventured farther into the story it became clear that Salem was perfect for him and she quickly became one of my favorite heroines from the SS series! I understood why she was the fashion she was, and my heart broke for her and while I may not take agreed with some of the choices she made I also got why she felt she had to brand them. She was protecting her centre in the only style she knew how.
I loved Sean, and the interaction betwixt Maverick and Sean kept a smile on my face up each and every time! I loved possessive Maverick and nearly peed myself with laughter over his antics! I loved the appearances of the other characters, and swooned over the many layers of himself Bohemian revealed to u.s. and how patient he was with Salem. I loved their connection and I sighed with stars in my eyes over his unwillingness to surrender during moments when mostly anyone would accept. This was not only a story of two people unlikely to ever want a human relationship finding their mode towards one some other but also one of redemption, family, personal growth and forgiveness. I cried over the raw emotions pouring from the pages and into my heart, I cackled like a demented hyena during parts that were funny and I finished this book with feelings of warmth, happiness, hope, intense cravings for lemon pie, and a giant smile on my face! Honestly one of the all-time books in the series and now ane of my favs right upwardly there with Loving War and Breaking Fifty-fifty!

Seems simply yesterday I one-clicked my first eBook, which happened to exist Hooked on the Game, starting time volume of this series (which is costless by the way). Since then, I have read and loved every book of this series.
Maverick is one of those characters you tin can't help simply love and instantly become intrigued by the moment you lot are introduced to him. He's the character that no believes is going to detect that "magic pussy" and finally settle down, that is until he meets Salem.
Salem is just looking for a fun night with someone. She a isn't looking for anything more, because she never knows when she will be packing up and heading back to Georgia with her little brother and her mother, who doesn't know how to just settle with 1 man; until she marries Ian Sterling. Salem and Maverick have no idea that they won't be merely seeing each other for that ane night, they will be seeing each other a lot because they are step siblings.
This book was simply everything I hoped for with Mavericks story. It was funny, swoon worthy, and simply perfect. And I can't wait for Brit and Base'south story next.

I enjoyed every give-and-take of his love story but I am and so very sad to see his book cease. His will exist a story much like Corbin and Blood-red's in Triple Cartel that I will have to visit again and again. He has the most devilish sense of humour and is oh and then delicious. There is no mode that any reader could resist him. He has lived up to all of my fictional fantasies and so much more!
Salem Wright had me intrigued from the moment she walked into the Sterling Shores club "Silk" and rocked Maverick to his very core. She charmed me with her wit and had me singing her praises with her ability to outsmart Maverick at every turn and give him the chase of his life. I adore her love for her family unit and adore all the sacrifices she has made for her younger "smart donkey" blood brother Sean who kept me laughing through my tears. I love this heroine so difficult and wait forward to seeing her and her brothers in futurity books.
C.M. Owens delivers a new, unique, even more hilarious improver to the Sterling Shores series that I know will cause so much laughter, warmth, and joy in readers hearts everywhere. I highly recommend Taming A Maverick for more heat, humour, and centre with the Sterlings that volition have you lot falling farther for this family. Owens never fails to illicit strong emotional responses whether it is tickling your funny bone, stoking your libido, or melting your heart. Her writing is endearing and genius!

When I say that you will laugh out loud at this volume, I truly mean you will full blown belly express mirth at this book. I love this series then much and all of the overlapping characters. This series makes you wish you had your ain sterling shore family unit. Technically these books can exist read as standalones, just all of the side characters are previous couples from past books, then if you lot don't read them in order some of the inside jokes

Steamy scenes are top notch, equally per the authors usual. The angst and dear betwixt the characters always gets yous in the feels. And information technology was nice to see the man not mess the human relationship up for in one case lol honestly, this book didn't have a super dramatic relationship ending scene, they were torn autonomously based solely on circumstances, not considering they messed up and did something stupid. That was pretty refreshing. And to me if made the feelings extra potent considering neither of them wanted to be without the other one. To beloved someone and so much and want to exist with them, knowing they love you lot just as much, but can't seem to exist together due to something beyond your control? All the feels. If you haven't started this series, y'all really need to. CM Owens is a i click read for me. I offset came across her books while reading her reverse harem series nether her pen name Kristy Cunning, and I've been hooked on her ever since. Definitely one of my top favorite authors now.

Maverick and Salem encounter at Silks nighttime club, neither want a relationship, nor involvement of whatsoever kind other than a claw up. Salem is definitely NOT looking for a young man. Her life isn't direct forrard, with her screwed up mother and never settling in one place long enough to really call it habitation. The attraction betwixt both is impossible to resist but subsequently their one night "Warm Upwardly" they observe that they are new step siblings !!! Awkward Yeah?
Nosotros get everything with this book, Hotness, humor, tears, and some and so so tender moments that your centre simply melts. From offset to terminate the banter and humour amongst this couple and group of friends just keeps endearing them all the more into your heart. I love this series and this book has definitely become i of my favorites, from Pie Moments, to teary moments, and Sean stealing a chunk of the show, this is a volume and a series you lot must read.

Sorry that I caught up with the books now. I would love to meet an overall catch upward book considering there are some loose ends, for instance I was anxiously pending Maverick'south story. His character was so dynamic in the books so I was happy to run across his story. I was happy with his go go him attitude because it reminded me of me. I demand my infinite. Need to wallow and think of a situation but non for more than a day or two and they become for it. Loved how he confronted his dad and stepmom during the breakup.
Deplorable that I defenseless upwardly with the books now. I would beloved to come across an overall take hold of upwards volume because there are some loose ends, for example, does Kode finally inquire Tria to get married and does she have. Is Kode and Raya e'er going to accept a nuptials day.
The brother Sean is a character. I would not want to take care of him merely at the same fourth dimension I call up it would be fun. I really like the screen that Maverick and Sean had dancing.
The writer has an interting way of creating interesting plots and storytelling and the best is the fun and laughter I get to experience. With my high level of stress at work and all the saddnes in the world today, I need to read good stories just laughter. I absolutely beloved this series! Typically when reading a serial with many books, the serial can become redundant ; non with the SS series! Whew! They are so funny, sexy and whitty. The banter between characters is hilarious and the character development is dissimilar any other I've read. The characters from by are nevertheless relevant and we are given a glimpse into their lives by their own epilogue.

The Sterling Shore series continues to be one of my favorites, and I actually enjoyed Bohemian's story! I was somewhat disappointed when I found out this was going to be a stepbrother romance since I'1000 not peculiarly keen on them, only this one really worked for me. I loved Maverick's and Salem'due south honesty with each other the most. I'm so glad that Maverick was not matched with Britt and await forrard to reading virtually her and Base!

In this book, the couple is Bohemian and Salem. We get to see Bohemian in a whole new light. He isn't the joker but s Sterling shore –I Adore the Sterling shore series!! To me, it is one of the all-time series out there and one I find that I re-read considering the characters are so good and entertaining. There is a lot of angst, drama, pain, craziness, sexy times, make ups, Beloved and the eventual HEA. Oh there is humor and that is too what draws me to this series. And Taming A Maverick is no dissimilar .
In this volume, the couple is Maverick and Salem. We get to encounter Maverick in a whole new light. He isn't the joker but someone who truly feels. Bohemian & Salem are 1 smoking hot couple . When the story started Salem is bitter and somewhat jaded considering of her female parent, while Bohemian is dealing with his father and issues on that end. These two end up meeting and its instant chemistry. Equally the story progresses and y'all become further into the story, you see why Salem is the way she is. Maverick is different with her and his heart is opened to her and merely her. While Salem falls head over heels for him. At that place is a lot of pain and angst and heartbreak and I wanted to hug them both. And I wanted to slack a sure person . Maverick went from a character I didn't actually understand and didn't know if I would like to a character I Fell for totally in this book. He was perfect for Salem. In that location were a lot of ups and downs in this story only that'southward what fabricated this a perfect Sterling Shores story. I know Bohemian found his "1" in this volume. I cannot expect for more in the Sterling Shores serial.

Maverick the last human being standing if you will, I've loved Maverick from the kickoff and with each book that he appears in I vicious fifty-fifty harder for him. With this volume I was a goner. He is witty, charismatic equally ever and downright hilarious. We do however get to see a softer side to him one that I don't call up we really run across until at present. Boy did he make me SWOOON !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Salem I absolutely loved her I think she may be i of my fav. She did what she had to do, just my center also went out to her because everything she did was for others and never one time did she desire things for herself. Her brothers were all groovy in item her younger brother whom I absolutely loved.
Information technology's sad to think in that location are only two books left in this series. I am not certain that I am quite fix to say cheerio even though I know there will be a spin off. C.M. once again proves that she is a primary at bringing pee your pants comedy with romance and a little fleck of heartwarming angst.
